Almost all border towns in Nevada, regardless of their size, feature full-service casinos. They serve to amuse the inhabitants of border towns in states where casino gambling is prohibited and where there’s little excitement besides the brief moments of optimism, quickly followed by disappointment, offered by their state lottery drawings each day.
A recent article from Las Vegas Advisor stated that the numerous lights from casinos at Nevada’s border are so bright that “it’s believed you can discern the rough shape of Nevada from space.”
We started examining satellite images since there’s nothing that prompts us more than “It’s been reported that…”
Comparable images assisted us previously in debunking the misconception that the Strip is the most illuminated location on the planet. (Unfortunately, it’s simply not the most vibrant, and the Luxor’s illumination isn’t discernible from space either.)
Seeing Nevada’s recognizable outline — an uneven trapezoid with a diagonal notch in the northeast — from space at night seems quite plausible.
Regardless of its form, it measures about 483 miles in length and 321 miles in width. From 250 miles above in low earth orbit, the lights of Nevada’s border towns are too faint and widely scattered to achieve this significant mapping task.
Certainly, from space, you can distinctly see Las Vegas and Reno, but neither assists in outlining Nevada’s border since they are situated 35 and 20 miles away from it, respectively.
Current border towns with casinos add merely small, isolated dots of light to satellite images, if at all. Beginning at the state's southern end and moving clockwise, the largest are Laughlin, Primm, Pahrump, Topaz Lake, Stateline, Crystal Bay, Verdi, McDermitt, Jackpot, West Wendover, and returning, Mesquite.
Every neon casino light they have can shine like supernovas to guests entering their state eager for excitement.
However, from space, they leave absolutely no evidence.
Having reviews for everything is beneficial. Even negative reviews can benefit your business because they tell you about the player experience. A well-written review will be succinct and provide enough information to prospective players to avoid forcing them to draw incorrect conclusions about the encounter. It should be as error-free as possible and offer comments and recommendations without disparaging the company in order to ensure that it is professional.
